About

This most famous Belgrade square began to be formed in the first half of the 19th century, at the initiative of prince Miloš Obrenović, and in 1860 the Terazije fountain was placed in memory of him. It covers the area from Sremska street to Kralja Milana street.

At the end of the 19th and the first half of the 20th century, Terazije became the center of social life of Belgrade, with hotels, taverns and trade shops.

The public area is almost fully accesible to persons with disabilities and persons with special needs.
