About
"Green wreath" market was reconstructed in 2005 and 2006. On that occasion, the workers found the foundation of would-be National Theater, which was originally supposed to be located at the site. In fact, even drying "Zelenjak" is done for the construction of the theater, but later it was decided that it should be build on Republic Square.
Market was opened back in 1924 and since then is one of the most recognizable parts of the capital.
