About

The House of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia is the building at the beginning of the Boulevard of King Alexander in Belgrade. The Federal Assembly is known from the time of the SFRY, although in the meantime has become the Assembly of the state union of SCG, and on July 23, 2006, it became the official House of the National Assembly of Serbia. The foundation stone was laid in 1907 by Serbian King Petar I Karađorđević, and the building was designed by architect Jovan Ilkić.

The House of the National Assembly is a monumental Belgrade building built in the area bordered by Kosovska Street, Takovska Street, Nikole Pašić square and Vlajkovićeva street, and is close to the Old Palace, New Palace and the Pioneer Park, a unique architectural and functional whole. This building was built from 1907 to 1936. Its construction, with interruptions, reflects the burning history of the Serbian, then the Yugoslav state and its parliamentary life.

The facility is mostly aaccesible for persons with disabilities and persons with special needs. A note for deaf and hard of hearing is that there are no audio support systems within the facility's tour. The facility is available for sightseeing, every first Saturday of the month. Make sure to call for a tour.
